Arrival Dismissal Procedures

Walkers

Students walking from the Woodlands neighborhood:
Please do not use the crosswalks at the four-way stop on McAuliffe Loop.
Instead, continue straight on McAuliffe Way and follow the walking trail to McAuliffe Drive.

Car Riders

For our students that are car riders, please form two lines for pick up in front of the building. We will have numbered tags for all students and a matching number for the designated pick-up vehicle.  New students will pick up their car tag number as they register. If you have questions, please call the office at 931-257-9180.

School Age Services (SAS) Program

The SAS teachers will walk the students between buildings in the morning and in the afternoon. Buses will be used to transport students during inclement weather.

Bus Riders

Information regarding school buses will be posted soon. For more information, call the Transportation Office at 931-431‐6213.

Parking and Student Drop-off/Pick up Policy

Parking is permitted in designated areas only. It is important to note and follow traffic patterns at all times.

Early Pick-Up of Students Policy

  • During the school day, students will be released only to a parent or to the person named as the emergency contact on the registration form.
  • The only exceptions will be: (1) a signed note is received from the sponsor designating another adult to pick up the student or
  • (2) a military unit has designated someone to pick up the student when parents and emergency contacts could not be reached.
  • Students being dismissed early from school are signed out through the front office.
  • The time and reason for being absent from school is noted for accountability.
  • All telephone calls for changes in going home must be received prior to 2:30 PM on regular school days and by 1:30 on early release day in order to contact the teacher.
  • Students must be picked up no later than 2:30 P.M., unless there is an emergency.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

  • Never drop-off students while stopped in the middle of passing traffic lanes.
  • Pay attention to the teachers and the students performing crosswalk guard duty, and follow their commands.
  • Drive forward all the way to the end of loading/unloading zone or to the car parked in front of you.
  • Make sure your children have their things prepared in advance for unloading. This will help us to speed up the process.
  • As soon as you are parked and are between LOADING/UNLOADING ZONE signs, quickly load/unload students.
  • Do not block the pedestrian crosswalk.
  • Load/unload the students on the passenger side of the vehicle.
  • Please yield to the vehicles passing on your right when you are pulling out after the drop-off.
