Dr. Domenique Roberts

The Fort Campbell Community Superintendent, Hugh McKinnon, is pleased to announce Dr. Domenique Roberts as the Assistant Principal of Barsanti Elementary School. Dr. Roberts, originally from Tennessee and a proud Third Culture Kid (TCK) raised by four decorated U.S. Army veterans, brings a wealth of ideas to her new interim role. A graduate of Seoul American High School (DoDEA PAC West) at USAG Yongsan, South Korea in 2004, Dr. Roberts is thoroughly familiar with the DoDEA community. With over 12 years of experience in instructional management, educational operations, coaching, and fostering relationships among students, parents, and staff, she has consistently promoted academic and socio-emotional growth through dynamic activities, thorough data analysis, and dedicated community service efforts.

In 2009, Dr. Roberts earned her Bachelor of Science from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She subsequently obtained her Master of Education in Curriculum and Leadership from Simpson University in Redding, California, in 2016.  Most recently, in 2024, Dr. Roberts completed her Doctorate in Education in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Dr. Roberts began her educational career in 2012 as an AP Chemistry instructor and athletic director at Global Vision Christian School (GVCS) in South Korea, where she co-founded the Korea International School Athletic Conference (KISAC). In 2013, she interned in third grade, served as elementary science instruction lead, PK-12 service-learning coordinator, and varsity volleyball coach at Chadwick International School. In 2015, Dr. Roberts joined Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS), teaching third grade, then AP and general chemistry, and sponsoring the first international step team and STEM club.

In 2019, Dr. Roberts joined DoDEA at Humphreys Middle School (HMS) in South Korea as a fifth-grade teacher and later taught sixth and seventh-grade science. She played a key role in the school’s Continuous School Improvement (CSI) team. In 2022, she was appointed PK-5 Science Intentional Systems Specialist for the Southeast District of DoDEA Americas, collaborating with schools to enhance science instruction and literacy scores.
