Barsanti Elementary Showcases Innovation at STEMposium
Barsanti Elementary School turned curiosity into celebration on April 24 as students proudly presented their work during the school’s annual STEMposium, an event highlighting hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and math.
The event gave young learners the opportunity to share their ideas, explain their processes, and demonstrate what they’ve discovered through experimentation and design.
A wide variety of projects were on display, including engineering builds for “The Science of Play,” where students explored how design impacts fun and function. Other exhibits featured 3-D printed creations, showcasing how students are using technology to bring their ideas to life.
Nature and inquiry were also front and center with plant experiments, as students investigated growth patterns and environmental factors. Meanwhile, gravity and motion explorations captured attention showing how forces and movement shape the world around us. The STEMposium not only highlighted academic skills, but also emphasized creativity, problem-solving, and communication.
Staff members noted the pride students took in sharing their projects and the excitement. The event served as a reminder of the power of experiential learning and the importance of giving students a platform to showcase their thinking.
By the end of the day, the STEMposium made one thing clear: at Barsanti Elementary, learning goes beyond the classroom, and every student has the potential to innovate, explore, and inspire.
