Barsanti Elementary School Kicks Off Month of the Military Child

Barsanti Elementary School launched the Month of the Military Child (MOMC) with a powerful and heartfelt Purple Up Red-Carpet Clap-In on the morning of April 1, welcoming its military-connected students with cheers, celebration, and deep appreciation.

Dressed in purple, the signature color of MOMC, staff lined the sidewalk as students walked down the red carpet to the entrance of the school, greeted with applause, smiles, and encouragement. The event served as a meaningful tribute to the strength and resilience of students whose families serve in the armed forces. Each round of applause echoed a shared understanding of the unique challenges these children face, from frequent moves to long separations from loved ones.

Every clap heard at The Purple Up Red-Carpet Clap-In was a reminder that our students’ stories matter and that their strength does not go unseen. Barsanti Elementary emphasized its guiding message throughout the event: There is Strength in Every Story.
